Housewarming gifts

Checking out your girlfriend's new condo can be a fun and enjoyable time (especially with a bottle of wine). But, sometimes, picking out the housewarming gift can become surprisingly stressful. Not knowing your friend's color scheme or the mood and feel of the new place can create some hesitation when selecting a gift.

A good rule of thumb is to keep color-neutral, so it blends well with whatever color scheme the hostess may have already selected.  Another good rule is to find some useful piece that will appeal to the hostess (so, if she likes flowers, get her a beautiful vase!).
