Now It's Easy Being Green!

Who said you couldn't be fashionable and green!  With the environmental movement taking off, an increasing number of shops are now charging for plastic bags.  As a result, consumers have started bringing environmentally friendly tote bags to the supermarket.

With the durable nature of these bags, they have become not just a supermarket staple, but people have started bring them to work, shopping and to the beach. This trend has seen a rise in "designer" tote bags. No longer do you have to carry your daggy Coles or Safeway bags, you can now carry bags with funny slogans (Anya Hindmarch's famous "I am not a plastic bag" totes), cute pictures and meaningful sayings.

Jumping on board this trend, Thursday Friday designers Roni Brunn and Olena Sholomytska have printed the iconic Birkin bag onto the front, side, back and bottom of a canvas tote bag.  Who said you can't have your own Birkin!  For a fraction of the price ($59 - $69 from http://www.miijo.com/) the Together bag is a stylish and practical alternative to the plastic bag.
