Behind The Scenes - Adam Tsen Short Film

Laichi touching up Hitomi's make-up

I was lucky enough to go behind the scenes at Melbourne designer Adam Tsen's collaboration with director Michael Mouritz

Launching his label TSEN while still at fashion school, Tsen's talents as a designer has seen him win numerous awards whilst gaining a loyal following for his ready-to-wear and bespoke pieces.

After gaining experience at the ABC and WTFN studios, director Michael Mouritz started his own freelance work in 2011. His first piece was a fashion film/mood project for Australian label Saxony entitled 'Sever the Edge'.

The purpose of this collaboration was to create a short clip for TSEN's website to set the mood for the viewer as they enter the site. It also gives Tsen a chance to express his label through a different medium, allowing people a chance to see a more creative side to the brand.

The movie features Hitomi Grace Utsugi and Clare McInerney in the main roles. Hair was done by StrugnellCole, and make-up was done by Laichi Wong.

The pieces featured in the video were custom made by Tsen for the shoot (POA).

Check out some of the behind the scenes shots below:

Thanks to the cast and crew for letting me hang out on set!

Thanks to my lovely boyfriend Saul for taking the great pictures.

Stayed tuned for the finished clip and an interview with Adam to learn more about his label and experiences in the industry.
