So I know that I have been MIA lately. I blame it all on Pinterest. If you haven't heard about it yet, get ready to be addicted. Don't say I didn't warn you :).
If you are like me, I constantly bookmark websites of things I like or tear out pages from a magazine of ideas. Anything from fashion to home decoration. I will admit that I even have a notebook filled with little scraps of things I love (and I KNOW some of you have those too!).
Pinterest is an online catalog of all things you love. You can create as many different pin boards as you'd like (one for each category, such as "Outfits I Must Wear" or "My Future Gift Wrapping Station Ideas" or "Appetizer Foods for My Next Party") and then "pin" things to that board. There are a bazillion (yes, bazillion) photos already on Pinterest for you to "repin" to your own board or you can install their bookmarklet to top header in your browser, which allows you to "pin" ANY image off ANY website.... so when you are browsing at West Elm and you fall in love with an owl candle, click the "Pin It" bookmarklet, select the image, add a description (like "must buy, from West Elm") and it will appear on your Pinterest pin board, for easy future reference! Too easy. Imagine all of your ideas, all in one place.
For some reason, Pinterest is still an exclusive, invite-only website (doesn't make sense to me), but here is my invite if you want to get onto it immediately (and not wait the standard two weeks!).
So Follow Me and I'll follow you and we'll all be merry. BONUS: if you have an iPhone, Pinterest just released their app, which makes is super easy to bring all of your ideas along with you on shopping trips. And it also allows you to snap a photo of something you see and instantly pin it to your board. Fabulous!
